FNPF provides financial support to poor families in Nusa Penida and Kalimantan to send children to school and university. In 2010 /11 FNPF sponset 44 skolebarn og 1 universitetsstudent. Please help us to continue & increase the number of scholarships.
This is a way for FNPF to give back to the community in return for their community-based protection of birds and other wildlife, and for participation in tree planting days. The scholarships do not cover all of the expenses but provide financial support to assist parents to send a child to school / university.

For school scholarships, FNPF gives a monthly donation to each village and the village selects the families that receive financial support. The selected child must be in the top 20 of their school and from a poor family as confirmed by the head of their village. (We encourage the villages to select girls, but this is not mandatory).

For university scholarships, candidates are invited to apply to FNPF. Candidates must be in the top 20 at their highschool based on the National Examination result; demonstrate a history of strong conservation and community activity; looking to study in a field that will assist conservation & community wellbeing; from a poor family as confirmed by the head of the village.
